'Caged Currents'
The underwater holds secrets
more numerous than
wreckage
of centuries
old sailing vessels
and the
myriad of life forms.
The hundreds of bits of glass
under the ‘cage’ represent
those secrets to me.

in a cloud streaked
sky,
the striations of color in a
mountain range, and the
shapes
of things left in my
garden.
I am most satisfied when
someone looks into one of
my beads and says they can
imagine what it would feel
like to be on the inside.
